There was a nice story that I certainly believed for a moment there. That some of the greatest macro traders of our time were in charge of the US fiscal outlook and would get the house in order. The smartest most principled people that understood markets. They’d get the debt issue sorted right? Bessent and Warsh, disciples of Druckenmiller, all students of Soros.
